Anna Moir

Program Manager

Anna Moir came to the BFA as a recent graduate from Brown University in Providence, RI, where she received a master’s degree in Public Humanities in May 2011.  In her graduate studies, she concentrated on management and public engagement in cultural organizations.  Before that, Ms. Moir was a history major at Haverford College outside of Philadelphia, PA, where she graduated with honors in 2009.

Music has been an important part of Ms. Moir’s life for many years, from both an academic and performance perspective.  An amateur clarinetist since age 11, she not only played extensively during college, but she also incorporated music history into her undergraduate thesis for an interdisciplinary approach.   Over the years, she has found ways to apply her love of music to her work and studies as often as possible.  She has also done educational work with a variety of cultural organizations including the USS Constitution Museum, the Rhode Island Historical Society, and the National Museum of American History.  She has been the Program Manager at the Boston Flute Academy since graduating from Brown, and now lives in Boston.
